In Juche 112 (2023), the Central Bank of DPR Korea issued a silver commemorative coin of Japan’s Defeat in 1945.8.15.
Carved on the central front of the coin is the image of the Japanese imperialists surrender to the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army. On the upper part of the front are letters reading “Defeat” (패망) and on its lower part are letters “1945.8.15”.
On the central back of the coin are the national flag of the DPRK and the flag of the WPK. Seen in the upper part of the back are the letters “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” (조선민주주의인민공화국) and in its lower part are the degree of purity, weight, face value and minting year.
The face value of the silver coin is 20 won.
The silver coin contains 31g of 999 silver.
Its mintage is 90 pieces.
