In 2016, the Central Bank of DPR Korea issued a silver commemorative coin of the Blue Dragon.
Carved on the central front of the coin is the image of Blue Dragon. On the upper part of the front are letters reading “Blue Dragon” (청룡) and on its lower part are letters reading “2016”.
On the central back of the coin is the image of Taedongmun. Seen in the upper part of the back are the letters “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” (조선민주주의인민공화국) and in its lower part are the weight, face value and degree of purity.
The face value of the silver coin is 20 won.
The silver coin contains 1oz of 999 silver.
Its mintage is 500 pieces.
