

In 1998, the Central Bank of DPR Korea issued a rectangular silver commemorative coin to mark the millennium of 2000.
Carved on the central front of the coin is the image of a Dragon. On the upper part of the front are letters reading “MILLENNIUM” and “Dragon” (龍) and on its lower part are letters reading “2000”.
On the central back of the coin is the national emblem of the DPRK. Seen in the upper part of the back are the letters “The Central Bank of the DPRK” (조선민주주의인민공화국중앙은행) and minting year, and in its lower part are the weight, degree of purity, and face value.
The face value of the silver coin is 250 won.
The size of the silver coin is 42×24 mm in size.
The silver coin contains 20g of 999 silver.
