



In 1997, the Central Bank of DPR Korea issued a silver commemorative coin to celebrate Hong Kong’s Return to China.
Carved on the central front of the coin are Chinese letters reading “Congratulations on 97 Hong Kong’s Return to China” (祝贺97香港回归中国). On the upper part of the front is the image of the Temple of Heaven located in Beijing, China, and its lower part is the image of Victoria Harbour located in Hong Kong, China.
On the central back of the coin is the national emblem of the DPRK. Seen in the upper part of the back are the letters “THE CENTRAL BANK OF DPR OF KOREA” and in its lower part are the face value, degree of purity, minting year and weight.
The face value of the silver coin is 10 won.
The silver coin contains 31g of 999 silver.
